Raajneeti - Mahabharat Interpreted

Watched Raajneet yesterday evening. This has been already termed as 'SuperHit' in domestic and overseas markets. I fail to understand the viewers discretion at times.

First thing first. It is not Gangajal or Aparahan. They are landmark movies.
To start with storyline - Its a out n out political drama. Considered to have been inspired from great epic Maha-bharat. Few characters are evident like Kunti, Karna, pandavas etc.
There is glimpse of movie Sarkar too. There were many key events and turns, but unfortunately they lack soul stirring impact. Every 2nd scene in movie shows crowd, dust and some cliched dialogues.
Movie ran for 2 hr 36 minutes, could possibly be trimmed by 15-20 minutes.
Manoj Bajpayee is definitely the scene stealer. Ajay Devgan is perfect, but this role could have been done by anybody. Ranveer is competent. He could have brought emotions instead of just looking serious.
Katrina was not as cute as she looks in Akshay movies. She still needs to work on her accent or should get it dubbed well. Found her accent coupled with serious dialogues towards end as melodramatic.

The execution is competent. Simple and effective camera movements. Wish director could have made the twists more impactful.

I found some loopholes in story and relationships, yet its acceptable. Movies are movies. Good for home collections.
